The Schildswarths (Ettish for Shield-Sworn) were the various Ettish nobility and gentry that passively resisted and subsequently rose up against the Kingdom of Valens during the pre-war period. They were enemies of the Valkoons and largely the predecessors of the Republic of Ettmarkduring the Second Ettish War.
